Still, with every fantastic idea Nintendo has, they often come packaged with some strange caveats that make us pose the question best demonstrated by former Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime. Even the 3D All-Stars announcement, which we all saw coming from a mile away given the preceding months of circulating rumors, filled me with complete joy when I saw some of the greatest platforming titles running on the Nintendo Switch in higher resolution. Nintendo completely surpassed my expectations, with huge surprises like Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit bringing an augmented reality/remote control hybrid racing experience and all-new content to the upgraded re-release of Super Mario 3D World. 35th Anniversary Direct was amazing, and I would never suggest otherwise. Me personally? It has to be Galaxy 2 it's simply just a more refined experience.Let me be completely clear – today’s Super Mario Bros. No rehashed levels from earlier in the game.Starship Mario is better than the Comet Observatory.Broadly accepted as being a little more difficult.Slightly more refined level design, with clearer level mechanics.A greater number of galaxies (49), with a wider variety in themes.The Comet Observatory is better than Starship Mario.
I was recently replaying Super Mario Galaxy 2, because lockdown has never been a better time to revisit old games, and in light of the (potential) 35th Anniversary collection only including the first game, I wanted to pose this question to Era:
